Hi Guys! Newbie here. I’ve been lurking in the Bimmersport forums for a while now, mostly using it as a reference to troubleshoot issues myself. However, I’ve hit a brick wall with my headlights—lmao. A Bit of Backstory I bought my car (2006 E87 130i) a couple of years ago, and all was well. Then, a job opportunity came up in the South Island, which I took. Since the job came with a company car, I decided to leave the Bimma at home for when I returned. It has been driven occasionally to keep it from sitting, which is great, but since coming back, I’ve run into an issue with my low beams and halos. The Issue I have bi-xenon headlights, and the problem started with one low beam going out, followed by the halo on the same side. I replaced the xenon bulb, which fixed it for a few months, but then the low beam started flickering on and off. Now, neither the halos nor the low beams work on either side. What I’ve Tried So Far • Replaced all headlight-related fuses in the fuse box. • Bought a new ballast to test if that was the issue, but the lights on that side still don’t work. Possible FRM Issue? From my research, I’ve seen that it could be an FRM issue. I’ve read that if the FRM detects over 50 faults, it shuts off power to the affected module (if that’s true and not just a myth—lol). If that’s the case, then I’ve definitely hit that limit. However, I don’t seem to have any other FRM failure symptoms, so I don’t think the entire module has failed. If an FRM reset is needed, does anyone here have Tool32 software and would be willing to help a brother out? Or could someone point me toward a trustworthy shop that can reset it? I’d rather not go to a shop if I can avoid it—I love learning and fixing things myself. Every issue I’ve encountered so far, I’ve been able to sort out, but this one has me stumped. If anyone has had a similar issue or knows the fix (or at least the pathway to fixing it), I’d love to hear from you! Ps. I work in the liquor industry so would be more than willing to sort someone something out for helping me. Thanks in advance! Let me know if you need any additional info like vin etc

hi guys i have a 2007 e90 320i, no idrive i changed the led angel eye bulbs to led and they had been going good for a few months. then the passenger side angel eye started flickering, over time it completely stopped working. its putting out the code cc-id 13 which is a fault which the passenger angel i believe. changing the bulbs doesnt solve the issue. so i am led to believe that it is an issue regarding the frm module. from what ive read online, when the frm module detects a short circuit within the system, after the ignition has been cycled 50 times, it will disable that circuit to prevent damage. normally the frm module would need to be replaced in this instance, but i have seen online that you can solve frm short circuit issues with some coding. people use the toolset32 program to reset the short circuit count from 50 back to zero to tell the frm to turn on the circuit again. is there anyone in auckland or hamilton that is able to help me. so annoying driving with one angel eye, and the bulb warning never goes away.
