E35 Stock head unit replacement suggestions

Hi - newb here. And I'd appreciate some advice please..

I've a stock '96 328i with the factory fitted head unit + 6 disk changer, and the head unit is pretty sucky. I want to replace it with something else, but if possible keep the stock 6 disk changer. Ideally I'd like something with a decent pre-out so I can hook up some amps n stuff.

Is there a decent replacement stock bemmer head unit out there?

One that'd allow me to keep my current CD stacker?

One with pre-amp?

Any after market units capable of running my CD stacker?

Any ideas who made the stackers for the E36?

Any ideas?

In the E34, I'm pretty sure my head unit is a Blaupunkt and the 6 disc is definitely an Alpine.

my NZnew 535 has a sony head unit and stacker,labelled BMW but Sony none the less

It probably won't run your stock stacker but I reckon it's a very good looking head unit in e36.
