Overheated 5er

i just wanted to know if it is hard to fix a car that has overheated back so it is driveable?

and how much

cos i saw a 5er for sale but it had over heated and wanna know how much it would take to fix

lots....depending on damage...but sooo much easier just to get a working car.....coming from someone who has got a car with heaps of little sh*t to fix

cos i found a 525i se and it manual for only $1000 and i thought it could be worth it because its manual and are quite rare

Also, sure manual are quite rare, but for a few grand you can do a conversion (and it will have a not yet worn out clutch etc.) Someone go name a price, coz i forget.

yea it would be cool its up to you find a good mechanic who will do the woprk for cheper find out what parts you need and advertise in the wanted section

as befoer its up to u

or....

buy my wagon for 10 k :)

yea my brother is a mechanic but he is the type of person that will wanna drop a rota in it

heheh if i had 10k to spend on a car i would buy a e36

but i still like e30 wagons

It depends.. the head will have to come off - be machined - new gasket.. in fact it may be totallally warped. A cylinder may have scored the block - its cheapest to get a new block and set of pistons...

so yeah.. its not that easy. A bunch of things could of gone wrong.
