Guest Speedye30 Report post Posted April 26, 2004 (edited) Thanks for the positive comments! Goodbye bottle caps... It has been lowered already. Dave at tsv sorted it out. I think it could be improved with slightly stiffer & shorter front springs, but ride quality is still excellent with handling slightly better than standard... And these 16s make the driving experience even better. Low profile tires make for much crisper turn in and a tighter feel. Did I mention the unbelievable grip? A very big improvement. E34-535ti 5 Report post Posted April 26, 2004 Cool, now all you need is some Jamex springs and a custom big brake upgrade. Actually come to think of it I know someone who could help you out there.....

Grant 4 Report post Posted April 26, 2004 Lewis, a quick question... Did you paint the window trims black, or did they come like that? I want to pain my chrome ones black. If you painted them, how did you do it? What did you use? Cheers

downlow 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2004 Na man im not taking tha piss, i had cut springs in my bema whats wrong with that? You gt to customise ur car with tha height you want, there nothing rong with it, cut springs and shortened shox pas vtnz warrents so how car it be that bad??
Guest Speedye30 Report post Posted April 27, 2004 I have been in two cars with chopped springs and they both handled passably but the ride quality was far worse than anything even remotely acceptable.
Guest Spargo Report post Posted April 27, 2004 For a start, you'll be changing the springs bump and rebound characteristics, and you'll be placing the dampers under massive strain, at a height they weren't designed to operate at. I have no problem with going low, but do it right!
Gus 5 Report post Posted April 27, 2004 if you want to change your ride height, use stiffer, shorter springs, as cut ones will still be soft.....you retard
Guest Speedye30 Report post Posted April 27, 2004 (edited) Oh, sorry Grant, the answer to your question is the window trims came as they are from factory, as part of "special equipment". Edited April 27, 2004 by Speedye30
