Guest brad Report post Posted April 29, 2004 Hi I am wondering if anyone can help me. I am new to this site and hope that it will be the beginning of a huge fountain of knowledge from you guys . I own a 1990 320i BMW (E30) with an M20 m20 6-cyl motor. I love it but the motor is not idling very well and I reckon the power is not that good . Anyways, after months of hard starting and many hours reading manuals and checking things and following 2 checks by "certified" BMW specialists (yeh right)... I found the problem myself....... The air idle stabiliser valve. Thus, can anyone help me??? I need another one (second hand and as cheap as possible). The part number on mine is 506 (by memory) and it is a straight "tee" valve. Please, if you have one you wish to sell then I am very keen. My txt number is 0211253248. Thanks guys Brad
Grant 4 Report post Posted April 29, 2004 Brad I'm sure Greame will let you know if he has one (he is the resident spare parts king). Otherwise try either Mosen Europarts, or SD European in Hamilton. (Can't remember their numbers off the top of my head, but they are both in the white pages). Good luck...and welcome to the site. Cheers
Guest Andrew Report post Posted April 29, 2004 Yes - i've had that problem also with my 320. Although mine goes reasonably hard. What year is yours? There may be some tweaks you can have done to it.
