Should look good, but how good will depend on the type of bodykit that goes with them. They suit a more modern look, perhaps that's why it looks 'E39-ish'. I think the centre is fine, it's just the lighting - centre is painted/powdercoated while the rim is polished so there is a contrast from the flash.

They are pretty awesome wheels, but on a E39 I dont think they will look too good, as a E39 is a big car and those spokes are quite skinny and widely spaced would make it look a little odd, I could be wrong though. But they would look good on a E36 or E46 coupe.

skinny 18s on e39 is not quite enough... heck i look at my M5 rep. 18s and long for slightly increased diameter... Really nice wheels for e36 tho.
