Gus 5 Report post Posted October 12, 2007 almost started ranting about V8 steering boxes... faster ratio? it is a 6 cylinder am i right? more 'sporty' models tend to have faster racks
bimmer boy 21 Report post Posted October 12, 2007 Its most likely the 530i had the active steering option, which of course makes steering much nicer and means you dont have to turn the wheel so much while turning etc
318Touring 40 Report post Posted October 12, 2007 Correct. That 525 will not be likely equipped with Active Steering hence the 'ordinary' feel. If that's the case then it also likely will not have Dynamic Drive, swiveling headlight and will have the standard 17 inch wheels. If you're looking for one, I'd strongly suggest a 530(d) with 18 inch and try to get the LCI model (the one with X5 type transmission lever).
