Boost Junky 1 Report post Posted October 16, 2007 Hey guys, Does anyone know if i can use the Switch comming out of my E30 radiator to switch on my aftermarket fan? It has three pins. This is what I have gathered so far (correct me if im wrong) T1 = Temperature 1 (Turns the fan on at a certain temp and only allows the fan to spin at a certain speed) T2 = Temperature 2 (Turns the fan on at a higher temp and allows the fan to spin faster or full speed) 0 = the wire that goes to the +ve power supply or ignition I wired my relay up that came with my aftermarket fan it has 4 pins: - Earth to the fan and earths to the body of the car also - Positive to the fan - Ignition wire with a temperature switch in series with the wire to activate the fan at a certain temp - Main power supply to +ve on the battery So I wired everything as it should be to the car and wired T1 in series with the ignition wire and dipped it in boiling water to see if it would turn the fan on and had no luck.
