Viking 0 Report post Posted May 30, 2004 After washing the car today, I was curious as to if there is any other way for removing all the water off things like the roof without letting it dry and leaving water marks. Anyone tryed using something like this? I'm currently using terry towels to dry the car but it never gets it completely dry, just moves the water around. Suggestions? Dnz 0 Report post Posted May 30, 2004 Get a high quality chamois. It dries the car perfectly, absorbs the water, and wont scratch it.

Guest Andrew Report post Posted May 31, 2004 Meguairs Chamois Synthetic - comes with a glovebox case - also note a chamois will remove ALL dirt from the car after washing.
318Touring 40 Report post Posted May 31, 2004 I use 3 bath towels to dry the entire car. Just place the towel on the wet section, press lightly, and bingo you got dry panels, never move the towel around. Very effective, and the chance of scratching the paintwork is almost nil. But your not getting the car clean and removing any additional dust - + there is the temptation to move the towel and scratch the car.
