Information on Classic Car Importation

This topic seems to come up regularly. Not sure if people have seen this document.

Definition of a collectable car seems pretty good. 50/year limit is... limiting

So how exactly do we go about being one fo the 50 cars a year to be given an exemption??

Do we have to call the Driver & vehicle Cert Unit and get a confirmation from them:

A - Before the rule is put in place

or

B - As soon as the rule is put into place??

I'd better start collection some documents to prove that my car is a collectable..

Don't want to miss out on being one of the 50 a year they are talking about.

Not sure. I found the link to this on Pistonheads. I think it is still all at the discussion stage, so who knows what the final result will be.

Don't wana be bumming around looking for documents if theres only 50 spots avaliable, lol.

An interesting read. I've sent it to Ateco to see if they can get an 8C in under that rule.
