Yeah I've always had a soft spot for genuine Alpinas. Thanks, I'm enjoying my 540is and planning on holding on to it for a long time. Cleaned and took some pics yesterday actually - will have to post some up in the next day or so So what other specs on your car? LSD? Looks like leather recaros too

Guest 540Si Report post Posted November 4, 2007 Good idea, std plate looks tacked on. Yeah I know - just ordering mine now. Going to keep original NZ rego from '95 alive but add a bit of euro class to it The black on black would look great on yours too
Markq 0 Report post Posted November 4, 2007 Nice!!! As a matter of interest, what did that set you back??
mr E34 11 Report post Posted November 4, 2007 Nice ride mate..really been liking the e34 shape latly. Yeah E34 was penned by the head of BMW design Claus Luthe.(not sure about spelling) Line up an E30 beside an E34 and you will be amazed at all the same creases etc but with far more emphasis on aerodynamics and filled out curves. mr E34 11 Report post Posted November 4, 2007 Nice!!! As a matter of interest, what did that set you back?? Had it a few years, stopped counting what it cost. Car cost $10k then, but needed work, added alloys etc etc. My first E34 cost me 85k in 1989!!

mr E34 11 Report post Posted November 4, 2007 nice...best colour too by the looks! Diamond Black looks the best in low light conditions, when too sunny takes on mettalic grey. Looks like there are a few tidy 535is left, saw your pix's on the net a while ago.

Thanks for the compliments, i have interior shots but i have to reduce their size. Usual M sport black leather interior which is pretty much std for HD12 spec. Engine is Motorsport crackle finish by Rob at Bavarian, completely stock M30 apart from piggy back Map-ECU2 tune. I am using my Apple laptop & still have problems figuring things out, have to keep pestering the kids to help.
