E30 iS Lip

Recommended Posts

I'm going to get a few iS lip replicas made up in FibreGlass.

Just gauging the level of interested with this post, reply with a price you'd be prepared to pay.

hey mate, mind me asking where you would have them made, as I am trying to make some as well. I haven't found one to take a mould of yet. I could make them for about $80 (2 layers of 450 CSM with white gelcoat finish). If its a decent size group buy, maybe even less ;-)

Bugger about your location. How much would it be for the pattern though?

wel shipping shouldnt cost to much i would imagine, its not that big or heavy, just awkward lol I used to work at one of the courier companies and used to get tickets half price, and I still got a couple of mates who work there. $20-25 would have covered overnight, insured shipping back in the day (1 year ago), so I would imagine it would still be close to that.

If someone could lend me an iS lip to take a mould (pattern) of I would cover the price for that from my own pocket.

If I was to buy one to take a mould off, I would have to get my money back somehow...(sell the lips for more)

If anyone's got any ideas, just let me know

Bugger;

Thus far, I've been to 3 FG shops. Two that specialise in custom motorcar parts, third a spa pool. Cheapest price, with a ready to paint product is $200 + mould costs [which would be spilt between purchasers].

I still feel this is too much, so will keep hunting. [Have only kept it loco; Onehunga/Penrose locations]. Lemme know if anyone knows of anyone who doesn't seem busy [would be a good Chrissy Pressie] and I'll hit them up.

Yeah sweet as guys. I haven't been putting much effort into this as of late, will keep researching.

If anyone you know can do cash jobs in Aukland, let me know and I'll get us a quote.
