Guest Andrew Report post Posted June 3, 2004 Was pretty fun - I was changing gear and indicating - gus was doing the rest. We even did some full throttle runs for a giggle.

Guest Zwilling Report post Posted June 3, 2004 Classic ingenuity, hahaha, who'd have thought that those high-heel 42-lace-hole italian porn star boots would've come in handy on the ol car aye

shadowninja 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2004 It's a good thing that the bimmer bonnets open forward... Mine doesn't... it opens up like a real car. :thumb: Speaking of opening bonnets... did anyone see that tyre ad where the guy's VW beetle breaks down & he's confused at having no engine under the bonnet? shadowninja 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2004 Dude its classic... there's smoke pouring out the back of his VW, and he's standing there scratching his head looking under the bonnet. (ie- beetle = rear-engined) ... please tell me I'm not the only person who finds this funny.

Dnz 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2004 Well they did that to be funny.. I remember there being an insurance advert with a porsche (maybe state insurance?) and the car wouldnt start, and the dude closes the bonnet when he's done 'fixing' it. That advert irritated me. Guest Zwilling Report post Posted June 4, 2004 (edited) I know that VW ad, but didn't anyone think it was a little odd that a VW beetle had steam (was white and hissing) coming out the back... My point being that they're air cooled... Edited June 4, 2004 by Zwilling
Guest Spargo Report post Posted June 4, 2004 Badass. So when you left the lights, you left in 1st gear at full throttle? That would have been awesome!
Guest Andrew Report post Posted June 4, 2004 Badass. So when you left the lights, you left in 1st gear at full throttle? That would have been awesome! Well gus was like slipping the clutch hard and trying not to wheelspin (there were heaps of cars around) man the clutch smelt fried.I remembered this shoe lace idea from a story at work that an old school stoner told me. The old VW Combis had a tube on the throttle pedal that hinged from the floor (no cable) and would get all gunked up - so one day when he was really stoned and the throttle stuck - he tied his foot with his shoelace to the pedal - so he could pull the pedal up. Sure enough they eventually cable to a roundabout and he realised he couldn't brake haha (obviously was too stoned to clutch then used left foot to brake). Guest Zwilling Report post Posted June 4, 2004 Classic story
Dnz 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2004 if the lace was longer you could take it through the sunroof and tie it to the pedal again..maybe. This reminds me of that mr bean episode where he drives his mini from an airchair strapped to the roof, where he used a broom to accelerate and rope to steer.. That was class. Guest Zwilling Report post Posted June 4, 2004 Did you guys see the Top Gear episode where he drove the car from the back seat??? That was classic...and on the bloopers they showed him driving off the road in it, even more classic!!!!
Napier_E36 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2004 yeah that VW is pretty funny - and hey - weve all made mistakes (the trying foot to the gas idea) Back to the VW guy - that add is wrong - it should be a chick who gets out - i work with a woman who was adament a beetle was front engined, we were arguing about it in the carpark - so i went to the "boot" and lifted it - low and behold, an engine! crazy sh*t!
