antony 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2007 Yea, I was looking at that to, but at 15x6 you'd probably get new outers anyway. Go to 15x8 or something. Would definitely cost a bit to get in mint condition, then there still not really th right offset. But that aside, BBS RS's really are the wheel for e30's. But that aside, BBS RS's really are the wheel for e30's. the offset will change if you get wider outers. Being a 6" rim th ET34 offset is about right. If you went with outer lips that were 2" wider to give 15x8 the offset would become ET9, which is a bit low (numerically) for an 8" rim, would have to run a slightly narrow tyre, along with guard work probably. antony 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2007 (edited) Wouldn't it only change if you got wider inners? E: Stopped eating my trumpet, and thought about it, yea it would change with different outers. Edited December 11, 2007 by antony

Mike 1 Report post Posted December 12, 2007 (edited) Offset wouldn't change with outers?? 4 Outers will cost 1200 to make them an 8" ! ouch! wheel offset is measured as the distance from the centerline to the mounting face, so by using wider lips you shift the centerline and change the offset. Thats part of the reason why ideal offset changes with rim width. Edited December 12, 2007 by Mike

antony 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2007 Can you flip the inners with the outers? And give yourself some rad positive(?) offset. would probably wreck your wheels tho.
