cainchapman 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2008 Ah, OK Emma. I used to coach a very good womens football team up here. Most of them were better than the equivalent age males. I'll see you on Tuesday.
martyyn 2 Report post Posted January 9, 2008 Hahaha as a 17 year old we (Rongotai XI) played the Wellington Womens team and gave them a hiding. No pace, no body strength, no ball control at speed....once you got over the fact that it was a woman you were kicking it was easy !!
BMW POWER 2 Report post Posted January 9, 2008 Haha Rongotai! Go ya good buggers, kill Welly Coll, St Pats and Scots in one shot! But yeah... we are good as 17 year olds girls, playing other 17 year old girls. I'll never forget the day when my team (Otago Girls) the best 1st XI Cricket team in the South Island and 6th in NZ , got beaten by 11 year olds playing in a shitty club. You could say, I went home a bit teary.
jimbo01 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2008 Gee, Emma. That's not a comparison I'd want to open up with. Considering there are no competitive female drivers at any top level of motorsport (that chick in Indy is going OK, but is as successful as Anna K was at Tennis so far). A bit like saying that Man U and the All Whites have a different 'style'. P.S. I'm not knocking female drivers. I'd love to see more of them. Fiona Hamilton could have gone further, if she'd kept the passion she had when she was younger. Emma Gilmore is pretty damn good in a rally car...
