[email protected] 0 Report post Posted December 31, 2007 Happy New Year's. I am currently contemplating on under-taking a complete 'performance enhancing' re-build on my 1996, 328 BMW. The above is of a 4 door variety. I enjoy the low down torque that the 2.7 litre produces, but the automatic transmission would be booted out the door ASAP. Gus 5 Report post Posted December 31, 2007 welcome it is a 2.8. first thing should be converting to 5speed (assuming you can find a suitable box and other parts needed). making sure the suspension is in order etc. one option for power is the intake manifold from the 2.5L M50 engine (you have the M52b28 engine) which gives more top end power another is a decent exhaust manifold. 3 pedals on the forum has some experience with this
Yuen 16 Report post Posted December 31, 2007 Gus, can the intake manifold be from any M50 car, ie: 320? I wasn't aware of differences between the 320 and 325's intake manifold.
