no_fat_chicks 1 Report post Posted February 18, 2008 man, thats a nice car. I know what you mean, I just bought an E30 and I am also a student. $480 to fix a radiator leak? Wouldn't it be cheaper just to install a new radiator?
tire 10 Report post Posted February 18, 2008 (edited) man, thats a nice car. I know what you mean, I just bought an E30 and I am also a student. $480 to fix a radiator leak? Wouldn't it be cheaper just to install a new radiator? $170 for repair, $30 new rad cap, $21 new coolant, $92 new thermostat, $102 labor, $20 freight. Thanks for the complement. Edit - Yea when I got the bill I thought farr I could have just bought a second hand rad for a hundy and chucked it in, but Paul rose a good point in that a second hand radiator could fail anytime whereas I now the have peace of mind knowing I needn't worry about that area. Should have an update for you then Cheers, Laurence. Yea I'll probably come on Thursday, i just feel a bit guilty for doing all this tagging along and never having my car there. Why don't we arrange something so I pick you up in my car? I wanna use it as much as possible before it sells! Unless you have your dads M3 lined up?
