QuickSilver 0 Report post Posted February 10, 2008 Had a quick search of this, could'nt find anything strangely enough, had a look on the net and there seems to be some varied opinions, whats a general guideline for breaking/bedding in a new clutch? Drive as per normal, or gently for say the first 500k's? Thanks guys, Alex.
will 169 Report post Posted February 10, 2008 (edited) Like bedding in brake pads, do not abuse it for the first short while, 500ks sounds ok. That includes slipping the clutch, (including not using handbrake to hold on hills), doing donuts etc. If you do, you will probably glaze it (or worse) and end up with problems like shudder.
