Creaver 55 Report post Posted March 27, 2008 Hey guys, looking at changing my spark plugs but have come across a few questions. My mate is able to source Bosch Platinum +4 F7LTCR for cheap/almost free, the manual states F7LDCR, but he said he is unable to find them. Looking at a plug designation table the LTCR is 3 prong and the LDCR is 2 prong. Would these make a difference at all? Are there other brands/types which would be good/better? I have a 93 540i with an m60b40.

arros 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2008 Bosch +4 platinum=long life plugs= more expensive than standard (F7LDCR) BMW service garage in town quoted me $360 for changing plugs, $34/ plug Pretty safe bet these would be the long life platinum plugs- so pretty expensive Perhaps ring a bmw service place and ask if the plugs are suitable
