deane30 30 Report post Posted April 27, 2008 Hey, I have an e30 and the INSPECTION light on the dash has just come on. Does this mean that my car is due for an inspection or does it mean that something is wrong and it needs inspecting? I still have 4 green lights on the SI board. my_e36 43 Report post Posted April 27, 2008 Not 100% sure on e30, but I know the following for e36 which should be close. The inspection light can refer to yearly inspection (or is it bi-yearly?) and a service inspection. The yearly one is mainly to remind you to change brake fluid and should have a clock symbol next to it. The other one goes from SERVICE -> INSPECTION (1) -> SERVICE -> INSPECTION (2) -> SERVICE -> INSPECTION (1) ..... Correspond to different things that need to be looked at at different times.
