But I have just purchased a '90 320 6cyl which had been stood unused for a while, before picking up the original owner started her up and water came flooding out of the waterpump area. He suggests that there is a seal that can perish if unused causing it to fail. a. Is this true? If yes where will I get a replacement seal? b. If not where in the Glenfield area will I be able to get a new waterpump or refurbed item that is not going to break the bank, as I also need a number of other items. ducatiss 1 Report post Posted May 29, 2008 The waterpump is one of those items on the e30 that is best replaced if showing any signs of problems. It would be false economy to just replace a seal as the pumps themselves are not that expensive and once replaced will give you piece of mind.
