E46 coupe can fit E36 M3 mirrors???

Hi there, need some help please

just wondering, are the E36 M3 mirors able to fit onto E46 coupes? I've seen alot of E46s with E36 M3 styled mirrors, though i dont know weather these are the OEM ones just bolted on or aftermarket reshaped and styled ones.

Anybody have a clue??

No, baseplates are different. The ones you see around are aftermarket (or hacked up genuine ones). Same applies to E46 M3 mirrors that fit on the E36.
