I'd take the RX7, Depending on its condition,

You'd probably come out with more $ than with that Evo, But what year is it ?

Have you seen the evo? Ahh 1996?

Are they hard to sell, i would think about putting at $1 reserve or are their not a sort after car?

Yeah cause RX7 RS are Bats, Like that one ^^^

They seem to be sort after - People love rotarys, If you put it up at $1 you'll definitely get a buyer

Swap the Evo, You'll be getting a bargain IMO

Depends on the Condition of the Rx7 in comparison the the Evo, though i think you'd be getting a good deal if you go for the Rx7.

My 2c ;)

Do it.

Inheriant (spelling) design of the engine means they are so smooth, yet revvy.

Prepare for a fuel bill shock though, my friend's RX8 cost $110 in 95 for around 400km. RX7 is likely to cost more as it's twin turbo.

RS Bats are single turbo 13B's not the 20B Twin Turbo versions,

But still Rotarys are costly on gas.

If you are buying a rotary dont get a AA check done coz they wont know sh*t, take it to rx7 heaven in east tamaki and have them check it thoroughly (they are very honest and straight up), I bought a rx7 without a pre-purchase check that had 80xxxks and blew a seal which cost 6k to fix for new seals and new housings.

Ditto - while I know nothing at all about them, I think that they are one of the best looking cars around.

one of the nicest cars i have driven...dont know the model code but the 944 look alike, loved the free smooth revving nature, quite torquey too in the mid range, nice handling but very disapointed i could not fit in the first batmobiles(I am 6 3)

103kms? Make sure the motors had its apex seals etc done. preferably rebuilt completely

Yeh if youre buying a rotary you should factor in for a rebuild.

Once youve got a fresh rebuild with new parts itll go forever.

What a load of bollocks. The modern rotary engine (post S1 RX7), will do in excess of 200K before rebuild.

The biggest thing that shortens the life to the engines in the turbos is people that "monkey" around with the boost, and the issues with heat that result.

I'd check the car over fairly carefully to ensure the mileage is genuine, watch out for things like 300kmh speedos, as you wont be able to tell when the speedo was fitted, and what the actual mileage is.

Check the engine for any modifications to the turbos...bleed off valves...non standard wiring etc.

Go to one of the reputable Rotary shops...RX7 Heaven or Rotarypower and get a compression test done, that will tell you what the engine status is.
