evil_elmo 0 Report post Posted August 25, 2004 Hi all.... i have no idea about BMW and what is good and what is bad about them......i'm thinking to buy a E39 but don't know anything about them, thinking the 520i 523i or maybe a 528i.....depends on the price, i know i can't afford a 540i so is there any tips on which one to buy or is there something i have to look out for with the E39? thanks Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
318Touring 40 Report post Posted August 25, 2004 Go to BMW Tips which specifically deals with e39s. I think 523i is enough if you don't mind not getting the 'toys'. However quite a few of imported 523s have toys that came std with 528. Engine size wise it's 2.5l, so should be enough to haul its big body. The only reason I went for 528 was I couldn't get a NZ new 523 with the toys that I wanted. 540 would be too expensive to use and maintain for me, so it was out of the question.
