pureboiracer 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2009 hey guys. i just got some adjustable koni shocks for the front of my e30. thanks oli. i have king springs at the moment. the car is going to be used for drifting and track events. its almost got the turbo setup finished. would it be worth while me making the front struts adjustable height with a 2.5" spring and a weld on spring perch or is it more hassle than its worth? Mattzy 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2009 Hey mate, Having just adjustable height in the front of a drift car seems kind of pointless. IMO I would have shelled out on a full set of coilovers with adjustable height, damper, front castor and camber. Don't skimp money by buying average parts or going ghetto on the most important thing in a drift car... If money is an issue, I would put what you have together and take it to a track day. If you are unsure of how a properly setup drift car should handle - get one of the regulars to take it for a quick lap or head along to drift school and get their thoughts. Hell the Koni's and kings may just be a perfect combination to learn in.. There are too many "Mean drifta" builds that only get to the hardparking stage. Don't become part of the growing majority! Get out there with what you have. Upgrade as you go..
