VIN Location

Recommended Posts

hi all,

ok so this may seem like a dumb question but i have googled it and searched forum but didn't really help.

I am looking for the VIN number on my E36 '96 323 Coupe jap import, i have checked in all the general places (windows, around engine bay, door sills and as far as i can see its not on the firewall either.

Can anyone with the same car tell me where theirs is located?

Thanks in Advance :)

The vin number for my 323 is on a plate on the right strut tower. Although in some circumstances I believe they have used the chassis number as the VIN.

hey, ok there is defiantly nothing on the towers and didn't notice any rivet holes where it has been ripped off.

any pointers on locating the chassis number?
