mr E34 11 Report post Posted January 28, 2009 Someone in the racing fraternity should buy/build something like this for the open class. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/870354.htm Hi-Tek, this is the type of intake system you may be interested in for your car...hi volume air flow. JiB 2 Report post Posted January 28, 2009 Would that airbox require ditching the AFM? Alpha-N with associated sensors would cost a fair packet. Would sound awesome though

Would sound awesome though Of course...no AFM..didn't you read it all edit.. or just use existing ecu like my setup & piggy back Map-Ecu for management, second best after full ecu replacement. CamB 48 Report post Posted January 28, 2009 Barry KB's car is pretty similar, and Rex Alder's one only lacks the fancy carbon airbox.
Hi-Tek 3 Report post Posted January 29, 2009 I'm not a big fan of that carbon airbox, although it's certainly something on my to-do list for future modifications. I'll be shopping here with Markus when I decide to buy http://bmwm3shop.de/main.php?site=prod&mid=3&sid=

Would sound awesome though have done this on my M3 and yes AFM needs to be ditched. Need to run a piggy-back system, On mine I went with MoTeC instead of Alpha-N as there are a few more things I will be able to tune, do with the MoTeC.
