Mattzy 0 Report post Posted March 25, 2009 (edited) Heres a strange question fellow Bimmersporters! Has anyone here done any extra's work for film or TV? I'm looking for a little bit of extra cash and am keen to pimp myself on-screen. Seriously though, I've been an avid follower of the arts and have been thinking about it for a while. I've got no real experience in film. But more than the average person in stage performance. Couple that with my stunning charisma and watch out Oscar! (ok..that may be a bit far ..) Yes I've seen the nz talent websites but I've got the feeling the majority of people just get lost in the crowd. I'm hopefully looking to talk to someone who knows someone who can point me in the right direction (Yeah, you know the deal.. networking 101) Anyway, share your experience and/or comments! Would also be keen to get into the film biz, next year im doing a bachelor of communications majoring in journalism and hope to go for an internship which are offered at AUT for TVNZ, that way i will have my foot in the door. But as they say its not what you know its who you know so i suggest finding some tv big wigs and get mates with them haha

pjay 8 Report post Posted March 25, 2009 Oliver you do SE? Badass! Ive been with Kam Talent for about 2-3 years now. Signed up with a friend. Done 6 jobs in that time. Had more opportunities but I work full time. You seriously don't need ANY experience. Just confidence and/or no shame. I did some commercial for an overseas insurance company once where I had to stand on large ball things and pretend I was going about my day.. It was... odd to say the least, especially being in the Main part of Britomart. I basically get an email from Kam on a monthly basis. Lately its all been to do with that Legend of the Seeker new series thing.. Meh Pay varies from 150 - 300/day for extra work. From 250 - 1000 for commercials. At least in my experience anyway. They're easy to deal with and there's no bullshit. The only charge for the agency is like $150 from your first job as the agency fee, and everything after that is yours. http://www.kamtalent.com/
