PBOY23 0 Report post Posted May 4, 2009 just a quick question its for my brother whos got him a little project what is a good tyre size to fit a lowered on vogtland springs 1990 300e , the wheels it will be running are 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 amg syle 38p and 35p offset , they need to be abit stretched but not to the point that they going to pop , cheers heaps pierre Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
zenetti 0 Report post Posted May 4, 2009 (edited) The wheels probably won't fit onto the 300e. From memory the widest you can go at the front is an 8" wide wheel. We had an 8" wide wheel on at 35 and it really wasn't suitable as it just stuck out past the guards at the front.Those series Mercs have a really high offset compared to most later model c and e class. Of course someone is going to chime in next and say roll, bash, flare the gaurds etc Anyway, tyre wise, probably a 225/35 and 255/30 is the correct combination.
