when they say appraisal/appraise a vehicle, is that another word for inspection? BMWorkshop gave me a rough quote, and it seemed fairly cheap!

Actually I might amend that-appraisal usually relates to the cars value only altho I suspect BM Workshop would be talking inspection.

It is definitely an inspection you'd be after.
