Central locking

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if there is a way to open the petrol flap when the central locking is not working. My central locking has been intermittently playing up. When it does this, it reverts back to having to manually lock/unlock each door and the fuel flap is locked shut.

On the driver's side in the boot there is the central locking unit for the petrol flap. It should be held up with 2 screws to the mount and 2 screws onto the shell of the car. Undo them and it should come out. Can just disconnect it if you want, but dont think it will lock anymore.

I have a petrol flap motor if you want it for nothing.

is it hidden behind the carpet in the sides of the boot or should it be visible when i open the boot?

Behind the carpet.

Try central locking from the boot, usually it is the "fail safe" or whatever it is called, cos aparently if it is not working anywhere else it usually still works from the boot lock.
