Stupid Torx head screws!!!

Someone who had owned the car before me had screwed up the alignment of the sunroof and munted the screws real good.

I think it was because of the Torx screws. I havent been able to find a decent driver for these and the guy who put them in last totaly stripped the heads so I had to take them out with Vice Grips.

Can I get these screws somewhere? and where can I find a decent driver?

cant u just replace them with normal philips screws?

chances are u can get the torx screws from any bmw parts place

u can like buy those screw driver socket sets for cheap from tool stores

Just take the screws you got out of the sunroof down to a engineers supplies shop or similar and they should be able to match up the thread pattern and length with any head you want. From memory they had threadlocker on them so it might be an idea to use locktite when you put them back in.

Also, probably an idea to get a torx set because there are a few other place where they use a torx head. (Gearbox to engine is another place where you'll need them if you do your conversion.)
