bekker 7 Report post Posted October 25, 2009 Hi guys I've been trying for a while now to remove 2 of the pins from the plug in the pictures. As you can see I have tried. It's not ruined yet and I'd really rather not. I'm trying to swap them out to the other end of the plug to use the AUX input. It's from a Toronto RDM126. I thought there was a little tap on the top of the pin inside the connector but try as I might I can't get it or make the pin budge. Damn Germans! I know I can just get some other pins if necessary but I'd like to do it this way if I can. Cheers for any help. *PS if anybody has one of these connectors lying around that they don't want that would be helpful to. Cheers.
jochen 4 Report post Posted October 27, 2009 There's always a little locking tab, you have to look inside the pin to see the tab. Use a jewellers screwdriver of the smallest size to insert and depress the tab Normally very simple....
bekker 7 Report post Posted October 28, 2009 Thanks guys. Yeah it appears there are tabs on both sides of the pin. I've tried to remove them but with zero success. I've moved on to plan B which is making a Aux cable with new pins. Cheers for your help.
