Guest Spargo Report post Posted January 27, 2005 (edited) Its a real mixer. As a Group A car, its not worth nearly as much as a Genuine ex DTM car. Only 321hp? I wonder if thats wheel hp... in 1992, they were dropping 380hp in qualifying trim. Make no mistake, its a wicked car, but the pedigree is missing. Edit 1: Now that I look around at the parts used and modified, this would run rings around any DTM car. Its how they'd do it at the factory if they did it again now. Amazing. Grant 4 Report post Posted January 27, 2005 Yup, who cares about pedigree, I would be pretty damned happy if someone bought it for me. Cheers
pussytamer 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2005 If you check out www.racecarsdirect.com you will see some Factory built M3's for sale. Last week there was one 4 sale without motor and box, which came fully set up. Mike Delmont has got his 320i Group 5 for sale in this as well, I think it was going for about $400.000 NZ if you want to invest into a car.
bmwsparkle 3 Report post Posted January 28, 2005 (edited) thats a cool site, im luvin this... Ex group A 528i The car has got all the parts that were homologated by the works apart from the hydraulic jacks, including: - AP Racing aluminium 4 pot callipers front and rear - huge ventilated brake discs - pedal box adjustable from the cockpit - Bilstein shock absorbers - rose jointed suspension with adjustable front and rear anti-roll bars - BBS 16" 3-piece wheels with centre lock - Getrag 5 speed race gearbox - quick steering box - oil cooler on rear differential - 120 litres fuel tank with FIA dry break fillers - 75% LSD Does anyone know why they raced a 528i and not a 535i? Any ideas if its an Actual BMW Junior Tiele car? If so... Wow. 600hp from a 1.6L is not to be sniffed at. 400K is a bargain... Group Buy?
Guest Spargo Report post Posted January 28, 2005 And also Grant, isn't pedigree kinda half the point of buying an Ex DTM car? Otherwise whats the point? There are plenty of cars that go faster for less.
