Help!How to remove the E39 instrument cover

Help guys....i spent 10 mins got everything out of dash n tried to install the 4 piece of chrome rings

now the problem is what do i need for romoving the E39 instrument Plastic Cover like below LOL

i spent another hour but nothing worked the plastic cover is like competly stuck!!

have someone had this experience of taking out the plastic cover of E39 instrument??

any suggestion will be appreciate

There are about four tabs on the back side of it, holding it on. One trick Phil figured out was to put bits of a plastic card (something similar to a credit card maybe).

Yep, have them in mine & I reacon they suit well.

Hope they dont have joins at the top like the dash pics show though.
