deeveus 81 Report post Posted March 6, 2010 My Peugeot Diesel: Around town: 6.7L per 100km (and i am heavy footed) Open road: 4.8 to 5.3 L per 100km My 740i Around town: 28.8L per 100km Open road : 11l per 100km Haha now do you see why the diesel is my daily driver? Thats a huge hit! Right over the stadium ROFL. The only thing that could compare to that was my P38 1996 4.6 Range Rover, I think I was getting very similar figures around town, that thing was a PIG of a thing on juice. deeveus 81 Report post Posted March 7, 2010 Do you walk hard to the right normally? With a foot that heavy you'd surely limp!
DRTDVL 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2010 I was more referring to the stigma that diesels are big cast iron lumps that come from dump trucks and move as fast as a snail. Most are all alloy engines now days. WRC 2011 will be 1.6 turbos... it will be interesting to see if they run DI in those.
