my_e36 43 Report post Posted February 27, 2010 hmm, I wonder if they'll make me buy a new phone or they'll hook one up for free coz if they go with Vodafone then the phone will need a sim card ... unless they've found a way around that It depends on how much you spend with them. If you are spending hundreds per month, I am sure they would have no problem getting you a top line phone for free in exchange for a new 2 year contract. Otherwise, there were a few deals just before the XT launch, $149 credit, etc... I am pretty pure there will be more just before the CDMA shut down (2012 I think). Anyway, I am a XT customer in Auckland on business plan with an iPhone. Couldn't be happier, speed and voice quality is much better than Voda. Customer service is briliant (NZ based rep for me when I call *123). I once lost a phone and a new phone is organised for me by the next business day thru Telecom PhoneInsurance. Awesome stuff.
