zenetti 0 Report post Posted March 13, 2010 (edited) The E46 takes this further by having different offsets front and rear, on the rear to be able to run 255's by moving the wheel in, they use less on the front to maintain track width. Correct on the offsets being different but the E46 M3 runs a low offset at the rear which moves the wheel further out and a higher offset at the front which moves the wheel in. I think you may have your offsets confused, (possibly with backspace). The E46 M3 is peculiar in the BMW family in that it runs a 5 series offset at the rear and 3 series offset at the front. Hey I'm sure they are 40 or 41 the guy had them on his lowered e46 and said when he had large rubber, (265-255 off the top of my head) he would occasionally get outside rub at speed and bumps. so i assumed that they would be ok for my e36. Please tell me i havn't screwed up lol!! you should be fine as it is only the M3 version of the E46 that is peculiar in it's offsets. The offset should be stamped in the back as well.
