E34 Sub frame mounting points.

After reading and finding out about how E36 3 series rear subframe mounting points can fail under prolonged stressful situations, I was wondering do E34 5 series suffer the same problem?

Is it advisable to reinforce those areas with plates welded in or something else? Do the M5 versions have any strengthening in those areas over the non M cars?
