BMW E30 320i 1986

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I brought an e30 a couple of months ago, just to get around in until I found something that I acutally wanted. I've just brought an e39 so the e30 is up for sale.

I'd like to get around $1500.

Its a 1986 320i, auto (4speed)

Its got a few bits of missing trim and the paint is that gross minty colour (clear coats looking pretty rats too)

Theres a bit of poorly repaired rust behind the battery tray so it leaks through there,

and a bit of rust above the tail lights. Not hard to fix.

The interior is grubby.

Has A/C needs regassing though, heater works well though.

rear right door has no handle inside, and the electric window in it doesnt work.

But all that said, it runs well, and is reliable (or has been for the last two months) I've driven it from mt wellington to the city and back every day since owning it.

It as a current WOF and REG and it drives well.

Just figured I'd see if anyone was interested in it here before trademeing it.

(It also has the worlds worst exhaust on it! sounds bloody horrible, the old masonry bit throught the baffles or something I think)

I know I havent made it sound very enticing, but I don't want to dupe anyone into thinking its immaculate.

Please e-mail me if your interested. and I'll get a few photos up asap.

Also, theres no water in the oil or oil in the water. so headgasket seems fine.

Cheers

Don't diss the color mate, it is pretty rare, I have only seen four E30's in NZ with it, one of them being my own ;)

Looks good with a good polish and some nice wheels :)

Best of luck with the sale.

I actually havent bothrered giving it a polish, I just figured the worn clear coat would just eat my cleaning rag :(

I might give it a shot, theres alot to be said for presentation. Seat covers and re-blacking the windscreen seals may also do it some favours!

Thanks guys
