aliluya 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2005 I was driving on the motorway into town this morning to go to class, and a truck was coming the other way ... suddenly there was this really loud BANG, it gave me a BIG fright! ... I knew it was a stonechip but i couldn't really see where it was ... After i arrived at uni i had discovered there was a fairly big stone chip ... approx 15cm in cracks ... After my 2 hour lecture i came back to my car to discovered the crack has now grown to approx 35cms!!!!!! And since then the crack has grown by approx 2cm .. aliluya 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2005 Luckily it is covered by insurance ... I won't have my car for the whole day on thursday ... from 7:30am till 5pm ... ugh .. sucks .... The extra tint at the top of the screen hides the ugly mounting of the mirror to the window, that all newer BMW's have. I'd have hidden the Ronan Keating CD! Surge 1 Report post Posted March 8, 2005 Ahhh, The 318i just got a new windscreen yesterday. Had a chip right in the "critical viewing position." Only took them 20mins to put a new one in - covered by insurance. Windscreen is so clean and scratch free now..... However they stuck the rego sticker way high up and the warrant is half peeling off and little to no consideration for the DCH sticker! Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I have no shame in owning that CD ... I don't really find the mounting very ugly .. so will just see what glass they put on ... I either had a choice of 3pm till 8am or 7:30am till 5pm .. i wouldn't be able to get home if it was 3-8 ... the dealer keeps it to allow the windscreen to set properly - it takes a while.
