bellicose 9 Report post Posted July 28, 2010 Well sort of lol. They may be in with a chance to win a couple rounds too.......well there's not a lot of competition really is there. So 2011 - Ford, Mini(BMW) and?????????????????? Then 2012 - Mini(BMW) and???????????????????? http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/85590
DRTDVL 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2010 (edited) 2011 = Ford, Mini, Citroen Citroen Ds3 WRC car images have already been leaked out from a testing session: The Ford i can't find anything yet, and the Mini has about 6 different concept drawings but nothing photographed yet. Marko Martin has also been mentioned as a possible driver for Mini, and they are looking to run a two car factory team and a two car factory supported team Edited July 28, 2010 by DRTDVL
zenetti 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2010 Marcus Gronholm's names has also been mentioned as a possible driver. BMW never do anyhting by halves so I expect them to be pretty competitive from the outset, especially as they have teamed up with Prodrive (who apparantly have been designing and testing for the past few years). DRTDVL 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2010 I"d love Gronholm to come back. I still think he's a better driver than Loeb, i justify that by saying the Citroens have been far far superior cars to what the competition have had. I think it's was fairly eveident when Solberg came back with a 4 year old car and was competitive - if that had been a Ford or a Subbie it wouldn't have had a showing at all. M5V8 337 Report post Posted July 29, 2010 Prodrive prepped Mini with Petter Solberg driving.... I can't get better than that!
Forrest 35 Report post Posted July 29, 2010 Aren't Ford going to be moving to those Fiesta S2000 cars/a derivative of them? Surprised WRC isn't dead yet IMO.
Guest Simon* Report post Posted July 29, 2010 Am I wrong or did I also hear whispers about an Abarth variant Fiat entry too?
Guest Simon* Report post Posted July 29, 2010 My bad, it's not for WRC - just the Italian Rally season. Still cool though
