fuzyfrog 0 Report post Posted September 1, 2010 E36 will finally be starting on the project route so Im looking for a new daily driver in the $1500 range. Im thinking the smart choice would be a 91 1.0 Starlet. Used to have one , Economical as hell and an absolute riot to drive. But... Something else is always an option Like this... Link Very high KM's but looks damn tidy. Any idea on what it would be like on petrol ? Any other ideas are greatly appreciated.

Im getting around 12L per 100km in the E36. I get 15L/100km out of my 528i driving like a crazy person around town. It will do 12-13 if i drove sensibly. The 525ee shouldn't be to bad on gas. 39KiwiTouring 2 Report post Posted September 2, 2010 I'd be crusing that 525ee if it was me. Defy the odds see if you can crack 700 plus K's in the old girl, show em all how reliable they really are.
Jeddy 0 Report post Posted September 2, 2010 I mentions its had a rebuild and a new head fitted(an 885), so one would think it would be in good condition, engine wise. With the 885 it wont be as economical as when it had the 200, but performance wise, should be alot better.
