currently foreman for small composite company making carbon sailbattens for most of the worlds racing boats and competitive/high end superyacts, also other spars and tubing to fill on the gaps (which arnt to many at the mo!!!!!!!!!)

all out of the west auckland bush!!

I have recently set up my own Project Consultancy (specialising in consulting to holders of large portfolios of assets - predominantly property assets), and have straight away had 4 good long term contracts in place, that see me not having the worry of having to "hunt out the next job".

However, it is my aim that by August to only work 4 days a week, in order to spend as much time as possible with the young fella, and allow Brook to go back to work part time (without having to put Ash into daycare).

However, as I have so much work on, I can't really see me being able to cut back to only 4 days a week, but at least the mortgage is getting paid, and being your own boss can't be beaten.

I got made redundant from my job as Marketing Facilitator at Canon New Zealand as they moved marketing to Aussie. So I ended up doing a temp job on the TOLL 'Ground Control' help desk over on the shore which was coming to an end which was a bummer because it was great fun, I had a friend who works here and he told me about the job, I thought it sounded like something I'd be interested in and do well so I applied, been here for just over a year and a half now.

Hey is anyoen involved with educational management? Or management at a car dealership? Im looking at getting into either of these careers - certainly not a teacher but management at high schools of somesort? Just wanted some real life experiences.

Im whats labelled a 'cadet quantity surveyor' at a relativly large commercial building company. Also while working full time my company pays me to study at The Open Polytechnic in a diploma of Quantity Surveying. Really interesting, gives me an opportunity start a career that not many other poeple my age get to do.

Plan is to complete my study, which should take 3 more years then head over to the UK and make some big dollars.

Doing marine engineering in the mighty RNZ Navy. Haven't stepped foot on a sea going ship in the 15 months of been in the service but unless you have loaded parents it is probably the best way to set yourself up in life (house, cars, qualifications, travel)

I work with intellectually disabled people, I've been doing it nearly all my life, as my parents both run their own services, Dad hohepa auckland, part of a bigger wider community, hohepa is national and provides a residential service for intellectually disabled people, my mum runs F.E.A.T, further education and training, a vocational service which provides life skills and oppertunities so that they may be more accepted in the wider community and become more integrated.

I've been working for hohepa for about 3 years (for my dad essentially)

I got here through my parents... lived on site at various different places all through my life,

mum and dad have been working in that field ever since i was 7, and we've always lived on site until recently, so thats how I ended up where I am.

Going to go study sometime as well,

Just grooming aye, I wasnt even planning on working there it just kinda happend, I was talking to the part guy while someone was getting something for me and I just mentioned I knew a few people who used to work there, then next thing you know Im sitting in an office filling out forms and arranging when to start training. hah
