I've been told to use Polyglaze wax.. turtle wax cutting polish, polishing/rubbing compound and even dishwashing liquid!! Help!!! As it is quite a tough cleaner I'm fairly sure it strips the wax from your car as well so you'd need to re-wax it after. Before that I'd try meths or WD-40 as well. My 2c. cliffdunedin 8 Report post Posted November 4, 2010 You could always try desolve it, it's a citrus based solvent so should be pretty easy on the paintwork. I've used it on anything from removing oil off leather lounge suite, tar off paintwork, removing stickers/decals - i would think it would be ideal for what you need it for.
