New airbag regulation

Recommended Posts

I've just heard a rumour that airbag cannot be more than 10 yo, meaning replacing one (or two or eight) is necessary in order to get WOF according to the will be law. Is this true, can NE1 confirm?

Certainly not.

Then the car will not meet the frontal impact standards.

Cheers

No you can't do that becaues if it's there it needs to be working ... says the LTSA .. Also if it fails the airbag test it fails the wof .. and there is also that frontal impact thing ...

Q about the whole if its there thing,: I fitted a 325 swaybar to my 318, lets say the bushes weren't up to WOF standard. So the car will fail even though it didn't have a swaybar from factory? But i could then remove the swaybar and pass WOF? Right?
