My plan is to take out the motor and box as one and i cant work out how to get the shifter off. usually its straight forward undo circlip type jobbie but no deal. Any help? tx me with help! asap. There is a circlip that you need to take off before you can remove the shifter from the linker arm, you will find it about the transmission, it takes some time and fiddling to get off. To pull out the actual shifter itself you need to pull off the shift boot, remove the rubber cover and with two screwdrivers rotate the white plastic bushing clockwise with two flat head screwdrivers.
