Mi_318is 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2011 Hey, I have a E36 318is 1994 and recently it has started to develop a problem when starting warm. The car starts fine during cold starts, but when warm, the revs jump, and it has just started stalling. It also starts to have a black smoke, and runs really rich. After about 15-30 seconds this stops, and engine runs fine! I have cleaned the ICV etc and no hoses appear to be cracked. Any one else experience this problem??? I've had a thorough search on the net, havent found much apart from the ICV. Thanks for any advice in advance!
cliffdunedin 8 Report post Posted January 5, 2011 Had a similar prob when i first bought my 318, after a ICV clean and running a bottle of injector cleaner...it straightened up! I guess a change of the fuel filter also wouldn't hurt!
