Will this bolt up to the m20b20

Recommended Posts

Hey Everyone, Currently got a getrag box in my car at the moment and need to know if this one would bolt up to bell housing.

Car info:

e30

320i

1984

5 speed getrag m20 manual

Cheers

Mitch

If it is "true to label" then yes it will.

Some E30's came with these, That said - I have only ever had/seen Getrags in them

You say "bolt up to bell housing" - the bell housing is part of the box

no, the selector is diferent in your car and you will need to confirm driveshaft length.

best to replace with like for like, otherwise there will be a little mucking around

have had a chat to that seller about the box. an he got it to go in behind his m20b23 but as said selector was a issue an his drive shaft was too short. by only the smallest of margins.

Yes it will fit ,( the shifter is a problem if you keep the center console)

I have both and can inter-change them without any issuses .

running the ZF in my car because it has no breath on top to leak out of when racing on the track .
