frkshow 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2011 ok so i did a conversion on my e30 coupe from a auto m20 2litre m20b20 to a m20b25 form a 1989 SA 325i. and also did a manual conversion from a 1988 4door 320i. mated the m20b25 with the getrag 240 from the donor car. and put in in the car and wired it all up ready to fire the up. go to turn the key and what sounds like is the clutch is engaging and spinning.and car doesnt start due to the fly wheel not spinnnig yea? replaced the starter motor from the donor car which was working perfectly on the car but and it still does the same thng and sounds the same . but suddenly the car does start but while cranking in sounds horrifying and not very smooth and health.? could it be a coincidence that the both the starter are f***^^d or whatelse. cheers Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
